Enjoy a FREE movie and discussion at the Florence Community Library!

Saturday, June 8 at 1:00 pm, come to the library for a brief presentation about “the buddy picture.”  This popular and enduring movie template pairs an “odd couple” of opposites, usually finding humor in the characters’ differences as they clash before developing mutual respect and friendship.  It’s a template that’s been used in a wide range of films, and can be found in comedies, historical dramas, tear-jerkers, and action films.  We will look at some examples of particularly popular “buddy movies” across the years, followed by a FREE showing of a recent major motion picture!

Subtitles will be enabled for the benefit of the hearing impaired.  Popcorn and water will be available while supplies last.  Feel free to bring snacks and soft drinks to the show!

This program is free and open to the public, and will take place at the Florence Library and Community Center at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 8.  For more information, or to sign up, please contact the library at (520) 868 – 8311.
