An afternoon of kite building and flying await all who participate in the Family Kite Festival on Saturday, March 9th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Florence Community Services Department and the Arts and Culture Commission coordinated this event. All materials are supplied at no charge at the Library and Community Center, 778 N. Main Street. After the kites are built, participants can fly them on the Aquatic Center Multi-Purpose fields.
