Fill some of the long March Intersession hours at the Florence Community Library, with daily family-friendly activities!

 

The library will host programs during the first week of the Florence Unified School District’s Spring intersession, from March 11 – 15.  Activities during this week will include:

 

Monday, March 11, 2:00 pm: Bricks N Blocks

Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to free play with a variety of building bricks and blocks in the library craft room.  All ages are invited to build, play, and create!

 

Tuesday, March 12, 10:30 am: Family Storytime

Enjoy 30 minutes of stories, songs, finger plays, and fun!  St. Patrick’s Day will be the focus of March 12’s Storytime, so come ready for leprechauns and pots of gold!

 

Wednesday, March 13, 2:00 pm: STEAM Kits

All ages are welcome to enjoy the library’s STEAM Kits!  Add a little STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) to your child’s life with our interactive kits, including Snap Circuits, mini-bots, and a model T-Rex!

 

Thursday, March 14, 3:30 pm: ‘Tween Code Club

‘Tweens ages 8 – 12 are invited to learn technology in a creative way at the library’s ‘Tween Code Club!  Participants will use the Code Studio website to explore different levels of computer coding, and will use different varieties of STEAM equipment, from Snap Circuits to robotics.

 

Friday, March 15, 2:00 pm: Family Flick

All ages are invited to end the week with a FREE showing of a recent animated hit.  You are welcome to bring snacks or soft drinks to the show!
