The Florence Community Library’s March movie discussion will focus on remakes.  Come to the library Saturday, March 9 at 1:00 pm for a brief presentation, followed by a FREE showing of a recent Oscar nominated movie… one that is also a remake.

We tend to think of remakes as inherently bad: lazy cash-grabs made to cash in on well-known titles. There are certainly examples of this. However, there are also remakes that have become very successful, including a few that are considered classics.  Join us as we look at some examples of motion picture remakes—some good, some bad, and some that are outright bizarre.

The discussion will be followed by a free showing of a recent movie, with subtitles enabled for the hearing impaired.  Popcorn and water will be available free while supplies last. You are welcome to bring snacks and soft drinks to the show!

This program will be held at the Florence Library and Community Center.  For title information, or to sign up, please contact the library at (520) 868 – 8311.
