Join us at the Pinal County Historical Museum on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 2:00pm for a free Arizona Humanities Program: Explore Arizona with Greg McNamee.

Arizona is home to some of the crown jewels in America’s national park system, including Canyon de Chelly, Saguaro National Monument, and, of course, the Grand Canyon National Park. It also harbors lesser known treasures, such as Chiricahua National Monument, Hubbell Trading Post, and the recently added Agua Fria National Monument. Join McNamee in exploring the beauty and history of these natural treasures.

Greg McNamee has been a frequent speaker in our program series. He is a writer, editor, photographer, and publisher. He is the author of thirty-six books and of more than four thousand articles and other publications. He is a contributing editor to the Encyclopedia Britannica, a research fellow at the Southwest Center of the University of Arizona, and a lecturer in the Eller School of Management, also at the University of Arizona.

This program draws from his Arizona Highways photo essay in the Special Scenic Collections Edition of October 2007.

Arizona Humanities offers a variety of experts and scholars who give entertaining and informative presentations on a wide range of topics. This program will be held at the Pinal County Historical Museum in Florence at 715 S. Main Street. For more information, call 520-868-4382.
