Steal a good time at the Florence Community Library’s October movie presentation, as we focus on the history of the heist film. Come to the library at 1:00 pm on Saturday, Oct. 13 for a brief discussion, followed by a FREE showing of a well-received caper from earlier this year.

Stories about heists have a long tradition in popular literature and in film. Audiences have consistently enjoyed stories about thieves planning elaborate crimes, then dealing with unexpected complications. Join us for a brief overview of the history of the genre, highlighting some notable titles. This will be followed by a free showing of a recent movie, with subtitles enabled for the benefit of the hard of hearing.

Popcorn and water will be available free while supplies last. You are welcome to bring snacks and soft drinks to the show!

For title information, or to sign up, please contact the library at (520) 868 – 8311.
