The annual Pooch Party is Saturday, February 24th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Central Bark Park. In addition to the rabies shots and licensing issued by Pinal County Animal Care and Control, the County is also bringing its pet adoption van with dogs, needing homes. Florence Police Department and the Department of Corrections will both have their K-9 units to present demonstrations.

The public is also invited to attend to see the recent park improvements made possible by PetSafe’s “Bark for Your Park” grant program. Park improvements include entry-way enhancements with fencing and concrete, new trees, irrigation upgrades, two new benches, dog exercise apparatus including an adjustable bar jump, archway run and a dog bridge with stairs and a ramp.

The Central Bark Park is just east of the Dorothy Nolan Senior Center and north of the Little League Park at 200 E. Eighth Street.
