The annual Pooch Party at the Central Bark Park is scheduled for Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Pinal County Animal Care and Control will issue rabies shots and licensing for reasonable fees. Animal Care and Control will also bring its pet adoption trailer with dogs, needing homes. This event is presented by the recreation division of the Florence Community Services Department.

The public is invited to also view the park improvements made possible by PetSafe’s “Bark for Your Park” grant program. Those include entry-way improvements with fencing and concrete, new trees, irrigation upgrades, two new benches, dog exercise apparatus including an adjustable bar jump, archway run and a dog bridge with stairs and a ramp.

The Central Park Bark is just east of the Dorothy Nolan Senior Center and north of the Little League Park at 200 E. Eighth Street.
