Come to the Florence Community Library Friday, August 15 at 1:00 pm for a hands-on look at “Printing in 3-D!” 

3-D printing, which manufactures create a 3-dimensional object of almost any shape, has become a prominent new technology.  It has been used by companies as varied as NASA and Amazon to create all sorts of items, from rocket engine components to medical prosthetics.  On Friday, August 15, Florence Community Library patrons will be able to participate in an interactive 3- D printing demonstration. 

Ann Leonard, Emerging Technologies Librarian for the Pinal County Library District, will hold a workshop in the library programming room.  She will unveil Pinal County’s new 3-D printer, and will guide patrons through the steps to create an object with it.  This workshop is made possible by the Pinal County Library District.
