There are two opportunities for the public to learn more about and comment on the development of a new aquatic center and library at two upcoming meetings.

On Tuesday, June 10th at 6:00pm, a joint meeting between the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the Library Advisory Board will take place in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, located at 775 North Main Street.

On Wednesday, June 18th at 6:00pm, a work session with the Florence Town Council will take place in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, located at 775 North Main Street.

At both meetings a presentation will be provided to update the boards, council, and public on the plans to develop an aquatic center, library, recreation programming space, and general government offices on 40 acres located directly north of Heritage Park and west of Florence Town Hall.

Public input is encouraged.  This is the first step in the process to develop these facilities.  No design plans have been created, so now is the time to provide your input on the design, look, and layout of these facilities.

For questions about this project and the upcoming meetings, contact Bryan Hughes, Florence Parks and Recreation Director, at (520) 868-7582.
