The 4th Annual Florence Quick Draw Art Event will be held in conjunction with the 34th annual Florence Historic Home Tour on Saturday, February 9, 2019.  Participating artists will help the Florence Arts and Culture Commission raise funds for future events.

This is an exciting, timed event in which competing artists create a piece of art in just 150 minutes in front of onlookers.

  • At 9:30 a.m., artists begin working on a blank canvas or paper (11”x14”)
  • At 12:00 p.m., artists must stop working
  • At 12:30 p.m., the silent auction for the original Quick Draw artwork ends and winning bids are announced
  • Proceeds benefit the Florence Arts and Culture Commission
  • Event is held at the historic Suter House, located at 270 North Pinal Street, Florence

All art pieces will be offered for purchase using a silent auction format.  Bids may be made during the Quick Draw event as art pieces are created. The opening bid for each art piece will be $40.00 with increasing bids in $10.00 increments. The auction closes, and winning bids will be announced at 12:30 p.m. at the Suter House, located at 270 North Pinal Street.  Payment for the art pieces may be made by cash or check.  Those individuals offering winning bids but not in attendance at the close of the auction will be contacted after the event with instructions for payment and transfer of art work.

To participate as an artist in the Quick Draw Art Event, submit applications by Friday, February 1, 2019.  Artists are responsible for their own materials and may use the provided 11” x 14” canvas or their own canvas.  Frames and hanging hardware are not required.  All artists must arrive by 9:00 a.m., Saturday, February 9, 2019, to set up work areas.  Register soon as available workspace may force limiting the number of artists participating.
