The recreation and library divisions of Florence Community Services have partnered to offer an in-depth look into the cosmos on Friday, September 27th.   The second annual Star Gazing into Fall will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The evening begins with a mini lecture inside the Library and Community Center at 778 N. Main Street. Later, the program moves outside to the Aquatic Center multi-purpose fields to view the stars. Participants are welcome to bring lawn chairs, binoculars and their own telescopes. However, the non-profit organization, VEGA Outreach will have a variety of powerful telescopes to give everyone the opportunity to examine “…planets and stars in amazing detail.” This is a free event and everyone is welcome.
