Stargazing into Fall, which was scheduled for last Friday, September 27th, has been rescheduled for Friday, October 11th. An overcast sky and threat of inclement weather, canceled the event. However, all items originally scheduled will be held on October 11th. The event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and begins with a mini-lecture and discussion regarding astronomy. The event then moves outside to the aquatic center multi-purpose fields to view the stars, close-up. Participants are welcome to bring lawn chairs and their own telescopes. However, the non-profit organization VEGA Outreach will have a variety of powerful telescopes to enable everyone to examine several planets and stars in amazing detail. This is a free event so bring the family.
