Enjoy Friday the 13th with a dramatic performance of three Edgar Allen Poe classics at the Florence Community Library.

On Friday, June 13 at 5:30 pm, the library will host the Arizona Curriculum Theater’s “The Poe Experience.”  Travel back in time to 19th century prisons and asylums as the actors bring Poe’s disturbed and disturbing characters to life.  These are not just readings, but full performances, and the actors promise a frightening literary experience that you won’t soon forget!

“The Raven” witnesses a grieving man’s slow descent into madness.  “The Cask of Amontillado” presents the confession of Montresor, who recounts a horrifying tale of revenge.  Poe’s final completed work, the lyrical “Annabel Lee,” explores a man’s obsessive love for a woman long dead.

“The Poe Experience” is sponsored by the Friends of the Florence Community Library.  To sign up, or for more information, please contact the library at (520) 868–8311.  Seating is limited, so advance sign-up is strongly recommended.
