This June, relive the largest missing persons hunt in Arizona history at the Florence Community Library! Tucson author Cathy Hufault visits the library on Thursday, June 21, at 5:30pm. She will discuss her book, “Death Clouds on Mt. Baldy: Tucson’s Lost Tragedy,” which chronicles the November 1958 search for six boy scouts. The boys were caught in a sudden blizzard while attempting to climb Mt. Wrightson, also known as Mt. Baldy. Fearing they might have been buried in the snow, search parties raced to find them before it was too late.

Ms. Hufault will discuss her book and the events that inspired it, including details about people from Florence who were involved in the search. She is available to answer questions. There is also a book signing after the discussion, and copies are available to buy, courtesy of the Friends of the Florence Community Library.

Please contact the library at (520) 868-8311 to sign up for this event. Available seating is limited, so you are encouraged to sign up in advance.
