Learn about southwest artist Willard J. Page at the Florence Community Library on Wednesday, November 7!

At 5:30 pm on Wednesday, November 7, author/historian Carolyn O’Bagy Davis will discuss the life and work of artist Willard J. Page. Page’s miniature landscapes included scenes of the Arizona desert, the Catalina and Superstition Mountains, and the Grand Canyon. His work helped to promote Arizona and the American Southwest to tourists and everyday people.

Davis, winner of OneBookAZ 2011, will talk about Page’s life and work, and will be available to answer questions after the presentation. This AZ Humanities program is sponsored by the Friends of the Florence Community Library. The program will be free and open to the public, and will be held at the Town of Florence Library and Community Center.
