Summer Reading is in full swing at the Florence Community Library.  Don’t forget to keep reading and turn in those reading logs to win prizes.  Children 12 years and under can win prizes for every 10 books they read.  Teens can also win prizes for every 3 hours of reading.

Events for children and teens for the week of June 13:

Monday:  Trivia Handout Sheets will be available at the front desk.  Prizes will be given for each correct sheet turned in.

Tuesday:  Teens (13 years and older) can come in to the library at 2:00pm to master the Wii and XBOX360 games.

Wednesday:  Family Storytime at 10:00am.  Families are invited to join Ms. Rita for a fun story, music, dance and more.

Thursday:  Crafts for children at 2:00pm.  Registration is required.

Friday:  Family Flicks at 1:00pm, includes popcorn and drink.  Movie titles are posted inside the library due to licensing restrictions.

Adults can have fun with summer reading, too!  You can receive an entry for weekly prize drawings for each book you read.  Win additional prizes by writing book reviews to be posted inside the library!  Finally, as a special treat, the Friends of the Florence Community Library will sponsor a visit by author Betty Webb on Saturday, June 11, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
