The Florence Community Library invites all aspiring writers to a special workshop on Friday, September 26, at 5:00 pm.  Learn tips and techniques for writing historical fiction, and take your readers on a trip back in time!

Donis Casey, author of the Alafair Tucker mysteries, will conduct an ONEBOOKAZ workshop at the library.  Casey will discuss ways to bring historical periods to life, in order to “give the reader an experience.”  She will share tips including: using research to share delicious little details of life, capturing attitudes of a time period, and propelling stories through the resources and limitations of that age.  Facts are easy; authenticity is hard!

Casey will also bring copies of her books to sell and to sign, in cooperation with the Friends of the Florence Community Library.  This workshop is made possible by the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State.  Seating is limited, so advance registration is recommended.  For more information, or to sign-up, please contact the library at (520) 868-8311.
