The cool fall air is near and this signals the beginning of the Florence Parks and Recreation Department’s Jr. NFL Youth Flag Football League.
Boys and girls ages 6 to 8 years of age can register for the junior division, participants 9 to 11 years of age are eligible for the senior division and youth ages 12 to 14 can register for the teen division. Ages are determined as of August 8, 2014.
The registration deadline is August 8th. Registrations are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation Department, located at 132 N. Bailey Street, or online at www.florenceaz.gov/parks. The registration fee for the league is $30 per participant. Register early and receive an early bird discount on your registration fee. Registrations received by August 1st are $27 per participant.
League games begin in September and are held on Tuesday evenings. Volunteer coaches are needed for the successful operation of this program. For more information or to volunteer, contact Erasmo Mendivil at (520) 868-7589.
