The Florence Community Library is gearing up for National Library Week with its 20th Annual Bookmark Design Contest!

The library invites you to showcase your artistic talents by designing your own unique bookmark. You may use dark colored markers, dark colored pencils or dark crayons. This year’s theme is “Libraries Transform.”

This free contest is open to all kindergarten thru 12th graders currently attending or homeschooling in the Florence Unified School District. Entry forms have been distributed to FUSD schools, and forms can be picked up at the library. The deadline to submit entries is Friday, March 3, 2017. Prizes will be awarded at the Bookmark Awards Ceremony, Friday, March 31, at 6:00 p.m. The first place bookmark will be reproduced and distributed during National Library Week, April 9 – 15.

If you have questions, please contact the library at (520) 868 – 8311.
