Come to the Florence Community Library on Thursday, March 9 at 2:00 pm for a discussion and demonstration of 3D printing!

3D printers, which manufacture 3-dimensional objects of almost any shape, have become prominent in business, science, medicine, and education. 3D printing has been used by companies from Amazon.com to NASA to create all sorts of items, from rocket engine components to medical prosthetics to reproductions of historical artwork.

On Thursday, March 9, Florence Community Library patrons will be able to participate in an interactive 3D printing Tech Class. Shawn Flecken, Emerging Technologies Librarian for the Pinal County Library District, will guide patrons through the steps to create an object with a 3D printer. He will also be available to answer questions after the presentation.
