Come to the Florence Community Library Thursday, December 8 at 2:00 pm for a hands-on class on 3D printing.
3D printers, which manufacture a 3-dimensional object of almost any shape, have become prominent in business, medicine, science, and education. 3D printing has been used by companies as varied as Amazon.com and NASA to create all sorts of items, from rocket engine components to medical prosthetics to reproductions of historical artwork.
On Thursday, December 8, Florence Community Library patrons will be able to participate in an interactive 3D printing Tech Class. Shawn Flecken, Emerging Technologies Librarian for the Pinal County Library District, will guide patrons through the steps to create an object using a 3D printer.
This workshop is made possible by the Pinal County Library District. For more information, or to sign up, please contact the library at (520) 868 – 8311.
