Activities at the Florence Community Library

The Florence Community Library’s 2011 Summer Reading Program ‘One World, Many Stories’ registration is currently underway and programs begin on Monday, May 30th.

Headlining this year’s kick-off party is The Craig Davis Comedy, Magic and Juggling Show this Friday, June 3rd, at 5:30pm. Craig Davis, master of illusion, promises a most memorable evening that is guaranteed to be full of fun. Seating is limited.

The following week, the Friends of the Florence Community Library is hosting an author event on Saturday, June 11th. Mystery writer Betty Webb is holding a discussion and book signing in the library’s programming room from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Webb will talk about her books, which include both the Arizona-based Lena Horne private detective series and the more recent Gunn Zoo Mysteries. Copies of her books will be on sale by the Friends and available for signing by author.
