Join us at the Florence Community Library for a presentation of American music history from 1890 to the present! On Friday, January 15, at 5:30 pm, the Florence Community Library will host the local group, Interpólacion and guests. Not only will they discuss American music as it has changed over time, they will also play songs from various eras.
The group consists of local residents Ed Curran and Hermalene Wick. Hermalene is a classically trained guitarist. Ed studied with Joe Napolian in New York City and played Avante Garde Jazz in the 1960s. The two have played together in major cities in both the United States and Mexico, including Baja California, Mexico City, New York City, Palm Coast Florida, and New Orleans. They will be joined by guest musicians Kim on violin/fiddle and Chris Reid on standup bass for this special event.
To sign-up, or for more information, please contact the library at (520) 868 – 8311. Seating may be limited so sign-up is strongly encouraged!
This project is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
