The Town of Florence Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the Fishing Derby on Friday, March 2nd at Heritage Park. Join us as we turn Heritage Park into “Lake Florence” and provide lots of activities for everyone.
Rod and reel checkouts begin at 5:30pm followed by the fishing competition that runs from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. There is no charge for the event or for overnight camping. Fish are tagged for select prizes and the heaviest fish wins the grand prize. The competition and prizes are for the kids, ages 1 to 18. After 8:00pm, anyone can fish.
