The Town of Florence Parks and Recreation Department, in collaboration with the Arizona Department of Corrections, is hosting the 1st Annual “Ball and Chain Arizona Prison and Law Enforcement Invitational” Co-ed Slow Pitch Softball Tournament on Saturday, April 30, 2016.

The tournament is limited to the first 12 teams that register. Awards are available for first and second place teams and the male and female MVP for the championship winning team. The overall champion receives the Wardens Cup traveling trophy that is kept at their job location until the next scheduled tournament. The overall champions also receive champion t-shirts and bragging rights.

The makeup of each team is six males and four females on the field. Prison, law enforcement, public safety or probation employment credentials are required to participate, however, a maximum of one male and one female or two female participants without these credentials are allowed to play.

There is an early bird discount fee of $250, if teams register and pay registration fees by Wednesday, April 13. Thereafter, the registration fee of $275 is due by Wednesday, April 20.
