On Monday, November 23rd, the Florence Town Council unanimously voted to hire Brent Billingsley as Florence’s new town manager.

“We are excited to welcome Brent Billingsley to the Town of Florence,” explained Florence Mayor Tom Rankin. “Brent has a track record of accomplishing great things throughout his professional career and the Florence Town Council is fully confident that he will advance the goals of the Town and the community.”

Mr. Billingsley has more than 19 years of management experience and a strong background in development, planning, public outreach, economic development and project management.

Mr. Billingsley has served as the city manager of the City of Globe for the past three years. He also served as the development services director for the City of Maricopa and he has prior experience with the Central Arizona Association of Governments, Pinal County, and a private sector engineering firm, PBS&J. Mr. Billingsley earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Planning from Northern Arizona University.

“I am thrilled to be selected as the next town manager,” Brent Billingsley stated. “I am a goal-oriented person that sets high standards and achieves those goals through hard work and persistence. With direction from the Town Council and the assistance of an excellent staff, I am eager to embrace the role of serving the needs of the Florence residents.”

Florence’s new town manager begins his service to the Town of Florence on Monday, December 28th.

The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 1st Thursday event on Thursday, January 7 and welcoming Brent Billingsley as their featured guest. The public is invited to come out and meet their new town manager.
