Imagine Historic Main Street filled with holiday cheer and bright lights. It will happen at the annual Christmas on Main on Friday, December 1, 2017.
The event, presented by the recreation division of Florence Community Services, runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A variety of activities will be offered including holiday crafts, food vendors, music, Gingerbread House Contest and Pictures with Santa.
Register for the Gingerbread House Contest by 6:30 pm with judging beginning at 7:30 p.m. Belva’s Real Estate, at 150 N. Main is coordinating the contest. Prizes will be awarded in the following three categories: Edible, Non-edible, Judge’s Choice and 12 and under. Photos with Santa Claus is from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and is held at Pioneer Title at 208 N. Main Street. Take photos with your own cameras and there is a two-photo limit.
The evening concludes with the colorful, holiday light parade on Main Street beginning at 8:00 p.m. The parade will offer a variety of floats and bands.
