Florence Fire Chief David Strayer was selected to participate in the U.S. Fire Administration’s National Fire Academy’s (NFA) Executive Fire Officer Program (EEOP) in Emmitsburg, Maryland.  Chief Strayer was selected from a group of qualified applicants to earn one of the limited number of EEOP slots.

Fire Chief David Strayer is honored to be accepted into the program.  “I look forward to the learning experience and realizing the benefits the Town of Florence will receive through this program. This is an increasingly difficult program to get into and I am very pleased and humbled to be accepted.”

The EFOP provides senior fire officers with a broad perspective on various facets of fire and emergency services administration. The courses and accompanying research spans four years and examines how to exercise leadership when dealing with difficult or unique problems within communities.
