The Florence Police Department is hosting a Citizen Academy for Florence residents who want to learn more about law enforcement, and specifically, how the Florence Police Department operates. The Citizen Academy is a free program that provides information about police operations, communications, crime scene investigations, use of canines and much more!
The Citizen Academy is a 6 week program that runs on every Wednesday night from March 23rd through April 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Participants must be at least 18 years of age, a resident of Florence (winter visitors are welcome), and submit to a background check. Applications are available at the Florence Police Department, located at 425 N. Pinal Street. The deadline to register is March 1.
