The new Florence Teen Council was officially approved by the Florence Town Council at its July 18th regular meeting. The program is designed to provide teen leadership and programming opportunities for local teens. Members of the Florence Teen Council or FTC have already presented two major teen events with more planned in the near future.
FTC members are also expected to attend the annual Arizona League of Cities and Towns conference with opportunities for networking and leadership development.
The Parks and Recreation Department recently received a generous $500 donation towards the teen council. The donor pledged another $500 if matching donations reached $500.
Citizens who wish to support and donate towards the Teen Council may do so by forwarding checks to the: Town of Florence Parks and Recreation Department, P.O. Box 2670, Florence, Arizona 85132.
