On Saturday, July 4th, 2015 Heritage Park and the new Florence Aquatic Center will host the celebration of our nation’s birthday with a variety of activities, events and fireworks.
The Fourth of July activities begin at 11:00 a.m. at the new Florence Aquatic Center located at 174 West First Street. Open swim, water games, contests and food begin the independence celebration and last until 6:00 p.m.
The fun at Heritage Park starts at 3:00 p.m. and includes Horseshoe, Cornhole and Mud Volleyball Tournaments, Bingo, and inflatables for the kids. Food vendors will also be present.
Kokopelli Moon Saloon, in partnership with the Arizona Parks and Recreation Fellowship, is offering a beer garden. Rhythm Edition, a variety party and dance band will perform on stage from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The evening of fun and celebration cumulates with a spectacular fireworks show, beginning at approximately 8:30 p.m.
To ease congestion near the park entrance, Holiday Inn Express is offering free shuttle service from its parking lot to Heritage Park. Additional parking will also be available at the Aquatic Center.
Visitors to the event are reminded that outside alcohol is not allowed in the park during the Fourth of July event. However, visitors may bring non-alcoholic beverages.
Freedom Fest is co-sponsored by Florence Hospital – Anthem, Garrett Motors, Country Thunder, Main Street Family Practice, McDonald’s B&D Restaurants, Salt River Project, Holiday Inn Express, Dr. Bence Florence Clinic, National Bank and Belva’s Real Estate.
