The annual Halloween Fright Fest, presented by Florence Community Services Department, is taking on a new look this October.

Years past, the event was held at Little League Park prior to its most recent location at Heritage Park. On Tuesday, October 31st, Fright Fest will be in downtown Florence on Main Street from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

All the activities that the public has come to enjoy at Fright Fest will be offered including the Costume Contest (starts at 6:30 p.m.), Pumpkin Carving Contest (7:45 p.m.), carnival games and plenty of candy. Trackless Train Rides will also be available around the downtown area for only $2 per person.

The department is accepting wrapped candy donations to help with the costs of this event. Candy may be brought to the Library and Community Center, Florence Police Department or the Anthem Police Substation.

This is a free event (except for food vendors) and everyone is invited to dress in the costume of their choice and join the fun on October 31st.

Those needing more information may call Recreation Coordinator Ali Feliz at (520) 868-7585.
