Hatha Yoga is a term most people are familiar but it still has an element of mystery surrounding it. Yoga is an ancient word which in its simplest form, means ‘to unite.”

Florence Parks and Recreation is offering Hatha Yoga classes to help renew health and vigor while learning yoga postures, stretches and breathing techniques to increase flexibility, balance and strength.

The Hatha Flow Style Yoga is open to all levels of experience. There will be a focus on the breathing connected to movement and asana practice that will flow with the breath and meditation. The goal is to enable one to express themselves in the practice of yoga and be comfortable to show up exactly as you are.

Classes run for four Saturdays, beginning on November 5th at the Florence Library and Community Center from 8:00 am until 9:00 am. The class fee is $40.00 per participant.
