The Florence Parks and Recreation Department along with AZ Humanities will offer a free series of historical lectures to the public. The program is part of the Town’s continuing celebration of its 150th Anniversary.

The presenters are knowledgeable about each topic and each lecture is tied-into the Florence community. All lectures are on Tuesdays.

Lectures dates and presenters are as follows: October 4, 2016 – Riding with the Duke, presented by Greg McNamee. On October 18, it’s Arizona’s Unsolved Mysteries with Jane Eppinga. Arizona Ghost Town discussed by Marshall Shore is set for November 1 and Pearl Hart, the Lady Bandit– Victim or Vixen… or Both? will be presented by Christine Reid on November 15th.

All lectures begin at 6:00 p.m. and are at the Florence Library and Community Center, 778 N. Main Street.
