Fall Intersession is almost here, and the Florence Community Library will offer daily activities to entertain kids and teens during the school break! Come to the library between September 22 and October 6 for a mix of activities for a variety of age groups.

 

Programs offered will include:

 

Mondays (9/25 and 10/2): Bricks ‘n’ Blocks – 2:00 pm

Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to Bricks ‘n’ Blocks. Building bricks and blocks will be available from 2:00 – 5:00 pm on Mondays during Intersession. Come play, build, create, and enjoy!

 

Tuesdays (9/26 and 10/3): Teen/’Tween Gaming – 2:00 pm

Tuesdays, teens and ‘tweens are welcome to enjoy Xbox One and Playstation 4 games. The game systems will be set up in the Teen Room and the Tech Lab from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Game titles may vary, but will be rated either “E” (Everyone) or “T” (Teen).

 

Wednesdays (9/27 and 10/4): Family Storytime – 10:00 am

Family Storytime continues at the library! Join Miss Gloria every Wednesday at 10:00 am for thirty minutes of stories, songs, finger plays, and more. No advance registration is required – Just show up at 10:00 and join in the fun!

 

Thursdays (9/28 and 10/5): Computer Coding – 2:00 pm

The library’s Computer Coding program will be available to students, Grades K – 12, on Thursdays at 2 pm during the Intersession. Work at your own pace using the Code Studio website, home to online courses created by Code.org. Explore different levels of coding, with your work saved from one week to the next so that you can build and develop your skills!

 

Fridays (9/22, 9/29, and 10/6): Family Flicks – 2:00 pm

Enjoy Family Flicks at the library on Fridays at 2:00 pm, starting September 22! Films will include recent hits and Family classics. Contact the library for title information.  Please note that some films will be shown in a carpeted room. We ask that families leave sodas and sticky snacks at home. Water and dry snacks are welcome.
