The Florence Community Library traveled near and far visiting One World, Many Stories as part of the 2011 Arizona Summer Reading Program. The program ended on a positive note with more than 900 patrons participating in the Reading Club and attending special events at the library.

The summer’s top reader was Miki Ysaguirre, daughter of Jerry and Mayumi, with over ­­­­­­­­­­­­­475 books read. Other readers of note were: JesusFernando Moreno, David Moreno, Savannah Reece, Seth Alvarado, Leo Ponce, Nylee Hamilton, Lisa Cundiff, Jeanie Pitts, Jamie Hoffman, Lexie Hoffman, Aisha Lara, Marianne Johnson, Anthony Miller, Kordell Neal, Kerriauna Paulson, Amelia Kinsella, Austin Wrigley, Aidan Smith, Corbin Smith, Kyle Yeo, Megan Yeo and Jasmine Neal.

Congratulations also to all 31 readers for Novel Destinations, 2011’s adult summer reading program. Kandi Hartung read the most books this summer, followed by Judy Young, with Marilyn Hall and Markitta Paulson tied for third place.
