With Halloween fast approaching, the Florence Community Library’s October film discussion will focus on the history of monsters in the movies!

Join us at the library on Saturday, October 21 at 1:00 pm.  We will present a quick overview of creature features, discussing the rich history and ongoing popularity of such mainstays as vampires, werewolves, mummies, and more!  The discussion will encompass the Universal monster movies of the 1930s, the Hammer horror of the 1960s, and the recent zombie craze on film and television.

The presentation will be followed by a free showing of a recent monster film.  Popcorn and water will be available to all while supplies last.  You are also encouraged to bring snacks and soft drinks to the show!

For more information, or to sign up, please contact the library at (520) 868 – 8311.
