Improvements to the intersection of Hunt Highway and Attaway Road are scheduled for Friday, July 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Motorists should expect heavy delays during construction, but the intersection will remain open to traffic throughout the day.
A failed 20-foot by 8-foot section of asphalt is being replaced. Contractors hired by the Town will recompact the subgrade and then replace the asphalt. After construction is completed, motorists will benefit from improved road and safety conditions.
Motorists are expected to slow down and obey all signage and traffic control devices in the construction zone to minimize any chance of an accident.
