Motorists should expect delays when traveling on Hunt Highway, just north of the Franklin Road and near the Florence Hospital at Anthem, from Thursday, June 15 through Friday, June 23.
A two-lane detour road will be built to allow traffic to flow through the area throughout the construction period. Motorists are asked to slow down in the construction zone and abide by the 15-mph speed limit.
The 1,500-foot section of failing road is being replaced with new asphalt and an additional 6 feet of width will be added to Hunt Highway at this location. Once completed, motorists will realize a smoother ride and have an easier time traveling through this curve on Hunt Highway.
