You are invited to boldly go to the Florence Community Library’s November movie presentation on Saturday, November 19, at 1:00 pm, as we discuss the 50+ year history of a major science fiction franchise. The presentation will be followed by a showing of that franchise’s newest entry – all completely free of charge!

Join us as we look at the evolution of one science fiction series from a single television show into a franchise. We’ll touch on spinoff television series, books and audio books, and movies. We’ll talk about the enduring appeals of the original series, and the ways the franchise has evolved over the decades to remain relevant to changing times.

After the presentation, enjoy a free showing of the film series’ newest entry, from earlier this year. Popcorn and water will be available free (while supplies last). Patrons are also welcome to bring their own food or soft drink to the show!
