Summer is almost here and what better way to celebrate than to welcome the upcoming swim season by attending Florence Parks and Recreation’s first Water Safety Day on Saturday, April 30 from noon to 5:00 p.m.

Bring the family as we will have vendors sharing important safety tips. The Florence Fire and Police Departments will also be at the event.

There will be swim lesson testing, sign-ups for various aquatic programs, water rescue scenarios and of course free open swim to the public. Beat the rush and sign-up for swim lessons before classes fill up.

The public is encouraged to arrive early as there is a maximum occupancy of 450.

For information about mail-in registration, please contact Erasmo “Beebo” Mendivil Jr. at (520) 868-7589.
