Are you in need of a good stretch and want to enjoy the benefits of working the various muscles of your body? Then come join the new “Stretch it Out” exercise class offered by the Florence Parks and Recreation Department. In this class stretching is performed through a variety of static and yoga stretches.
Stretching can help prevent injuries, relieve tension and improve alignment. A major benefit of correct, consistent stretching includes improved flexibility of all major muscle groups. Overall health is improved along with performance in any activity or sport.
The class is offered monthly on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Fitness Center, located at 133 N. Main Street. The class is free to Fitness Center members, $10 per month for residents, $12.50 per month for non-residents, and $3 per class for drop-ins.
Registration is open to ages 16 years and older. Space is limited so register early! Register at the Florence Library & Community Center at 778 N. Main Street, the Town of Florence Fitness Center at 133 N. Main Street; or online at www.florenceaz.gov/parks.
