Work being performed by ADOT to install new traffic signal on Highway 79, at the intersection of Diversion Dam Road, starts June 12. The project is expected to last approximately 4 months. Please use caution and reduce speeds when approaching the intersection.
Initial work requires the closure of the right-turn lane onto Diversion Dam Road from north-bound Highway 79. This closure is projected to last one week, but could be extended depending on conditions encountered.
Once work is completed, motorist will enjoy the benefits of a newly constructed traffic signal, including quicker travel times during peak traffic hours and increased safety. The project also includes the installation of pre-emption sensors to allow emergency responders to travel quickly and safely through this intersection.
